PMIS Stock Reconcile
Corrects a received-product mistake by moving an outgoing product from an internal location to a reconciliation location, then moving its replacement back into internal stock. The workflow changes quantities and valuation; it is not journal-item matching or a read-only reconciliation report.
Configuration and access
Dependencies are stock_account, account_move_name_sequence, and pmis_stock_move_fiscal_month.
Mark an inventory-loss location as a reconciliation location and configure its relevant stock accounts.
Configure automated valuation and stock accounting for the products.
Grant Stock Reconcile access. Accounting Managers imply this group; normal stock and accounting permissions remain necessary.
Defaults use the active company's first warehouse stock location and the first shared or company-specific location marked for reconciliation. Review them when switching companies.
Validation runs in the reconciliation's company and explicitly assigns that company to both stock moves. Products, locations, lots, and linked moves must belong to that company or be shared; inconsistent company links are rejected when saving and checked again before creating moves.
Usage
Open Inventory > Operations > Reconciliations and create a draft.
Set outgoing and incoming products, quantities, units, source location, and reconciliation location. Supply lots, packages, and owner as needed.
Review the correction and validate it once.
Inspect the linked stock moves, valuation layers, and reconciliation report.
Validation completes the outgoing move first and totals all of its valuation layers, including existing correction layers. It allocates the transferred value across incoming layers by quantity, with any currency rounding remainder assigned to the last layer. Incoming values and remaining values are set before Odoo creates the corresponding accounting entries. Missing layers raise an error and roll back the paired correction.
The record date sets both stock moves' execution dates, their move-line dates, and the requested accounting date. Odoo's accounting lock-date rules still apply. Fiscal months follow the dated stock moves. Valuation layers retain their actual creation timestamps; backdating the stock move does not reorder historical FIFO consumption.
The reconciliation becomes Done and cannot be deleted. Product onchange fills the respective units of measure; references come from the reconciliation sequence unless supplied explicitly.
Limitations
The correction transfers the outgoing value known at validation time; it does not rewrite historical FIFO allocations or propagate future revaluations between different products. Provisionally valued negative stock is rejected; receive the missing stock before reconciling. Accounting entries use the products' and locations' configured valuation accounts.
Validation locks the reconciliation and rejects completed records or drafts with existing stock moves, including calls made directly through execution methods. Copying a completed record creates a clean draft. Correct a completed operation through a separate approved stock/accounting workflow.
