PMIS Stock move fiscal month
Adds fiscal-month fields and manual period selection to stock moves and pickings, and integrates those periods with accounting fiscal dates.
Configuration
Dependencies are pmis_account_dates, account_fiscal_month, stock, and purchase_stock. Configure fiscal-month date ranges for the relevant companies. Shared accounting-date fields and generic views are owned by pmis_account_dates.
Period selection
Stock moves prefer their own manual period, then the picking's forced period, then the company period matching the stock move date.
Pickings prefer Force Accounting Period, otherwise they look up the period using the completion date. The computation does not directly use the scheduled date as a fallback.
Linked journal entries use the stock move's fiscal month. Other entries look up a month from their own fiscal date and company.
A forced picking period supplies its end date as the default accounting fiscal date through the inherited fiscal-date policy.
Stock-move fiscal date is the selected period's end date; journal items expose their entry's fiscal month.
A stock move's own Manual period changes its fiscal month/end date and the linked entry's fiscal month. It does not itself override the journal entry's fiscal_date: the stock-specific default for that date reads the picking's Force Accounting Period instead.
Usage and limits
Set a manual period only when a stock transaction belongs to a different fiscal month. Both selectors offer active, open fiscal-month ranges belonging to the record's company or shared across companies. ORM validation enforces these rules when a manual period or the record's company is assigned, including imports and RPC writes. Clearing the manual period restores automatic selection.
The selectors are shown to Accounting users; this visibility rule does not add a field-level access restriction. Existing model access rights still apply.
Closing or archiving a range preserves existing assignments and does not block unrelated edits. A manual selection can be cleared or changed to an eligible month even when its previous range is closed. Automatic date-based lookup can still return a closed month. The addon does not implement an accounting or inventory period lock, prevent posting into closed months, or repair existing invalid assignments during an upgrade.
The accounting recompute action uses ORM recomputation and flushes stored related fiscal dates. Fiscal classification is separate from the journal entry's posting date.
Fiscal-month filters use the stored period relationship, including manual selections and picking completion-date calculations. Standard ORM operators support period IDs, names, exclusions, and records without a fiscal month.
