PMIS Base Multi-Company
This addon extends the OCA multi-company framework with active-company defaults for contacts, products, projects, and analytic accounts.
Configuration
Dependencies are base_multi_company, base_setup, partner_multi_company, product_multi_company, and project.
General Settings exposes four company-specific options: Set Active Company Partner, Set Active Company Product, Set Active Company Project, and Set Active Company Analytic. All four default to enabled.
Usage
Select the active company and configure its defaults.
Create a contact, product template, project, or analytic account.
The corresponding company_ids defaults to the active company when its option is enabled, or remains empty when disabled. Explicitly supplied company values take precedence.
These settings affect defaults, not existing records. Empty company lists allow sharing subject to the installed multi-company framework's access rules.
Projects and analytic accounts inherit multi.company.abstract. Their forms show company tags to multi-company users; the project form hides the standard single-company field.
Installation
The post-init hook uses base_multi_company.hooks.fill_company_ids to backfill project and analytic-account company lists from their existing single-company values. It skips this step if the helper cannot be imported.
