PMIS Account Invoice Product Weight

Beta License: LGPL-3 PMISuite/stock-accounting Version: 18.0

Adds an informational Weight field to the Logistics group in an invoice's Other Info tab.

Table of contents

Configuration

The only declared dependency is account. Set each product's weight and use invoice quantities consistent with that product's weight basis.

Usage

  1. Create or open an invoice or bill with product lines.

  2. Open Other Info > Logistics to see Weight.

  3. The computed value is the sum of each line's product weight multiplied by its invoice quantity. For example, three units at 2.5 kg and two units at 1.2 kg total 9.9 kg. Lines without a product contribute zero.

Calculation limits

The value is nonstored and uses current product weights. It is not a posted weight snapshot and is not added to printed invoices by this addon. Credit notes use the same calculation without reversing the sign solely because of their document type.

The form always labels the value kg. The calculation does not convert units of measure or weight units, and does not add packaging weight. An invoice line using dozens, for example, is multiplied by its raw quantity rather than by a converted number of individual units.

The declared compute dependencies cover invoice-line membership and product selection, but omit line quantity and product weight changes. An already cached value may therefore remain stale after those edits until it is recomputed or read in a fresh request. The quantity-change test explicitly calls the compute method; it does not establish automatic refresh.
