PMIS Cash Journal Dashboard

Beta License: LGPL-3 PMISuite/stock-accounting Version: 18.0

This module improves the cash journal dashboard for migrated databases by showing the current cash ledger and hiding misleading legacy statement balances, while keeping historical cash registers accessible.

Table of contents

Key features

  • Replaces the cash journal dashboard primary button with Cash Ledger.

  • Opens journal items for the cash journal, restricted to its default liquidity account when one is configured. Canceled entries, section lines, and note lines are excluded.

  • Enables a removable Posted search filter by default. There is no date cutoff: older journal items can appear too. List, pivot, and graph views are available.

  • Hides the Last Statement row for cash journals.

  • Preserves historical cash statements via Historical Cash Registers.

Configuration

The only dependency is account. No migration or additional setting is required. The dashboard changes apply to cash journals; other journal types keep their existing transaction action.

Configure the cash journal's default account to restrict Cash Ledger to liquidity items. Without it, the action shows all eligible items in that journal. The module does not recalculate balances or create, migrate, or delete entries.

Usage

  1. Open Accounting > Dashboard.

  2. On a cash journal card, click Cash Ledger to view cash entries.

  3. Use the card dropdown to open Historical Cash Registers. This action selects all statements belonging to the journal, with no age or legacy flag restriction.
